How to set up a Multi-signature Wallet with Streamflow
Streamflow’s Multisig Wallet app is here and ready to serve individuals and teams looking to establish a treasury gated by multiple private keys. Users can deposit funds to, and initiate payment and vesting streams directly from the Multisig Wallet. We are also cross-compatible with Squads, allowing users to create and access their Multisig wallet from the Streamflow or Squads dashboard.
Here’s a step-by-step walkthrough to creating a Mult-signature Wallet:
Step 1: Connect Wallet
To begin, connect your Wallet to the Streamflow app. Streamflow supports multiple wallet providers including Phantom, Slope, Sollet, and Solfare.
Step 2: Name Multisig Wallet
Give your wallet a descriptive name so members can easily identify its purpose. This name can be changed in the future based on a proposal.
Step 3: Add members
Click on the “Members” tab and click the “+ Add Members” button to add members by their SPL wallet addresses. After the second member is added to the Multisig, all coming members must be voted on by the current Multisig members according to the approval.
Step 4: Set the number of approvals needed
Set the number of members needed to complete a transaction. For instance, if you have four members and you want 3/4 of the members to vote to pass a proposal, you can require three of five members to approve a transaction. You can also require one member or all five members to approve a transaction depending on your needs.
Step 5: Deposit funds
Use your connected wallet to deposit funds into your Multisig. Our Multisig app will reveal all of the SPL tokens available in your wallet to choose from.
